This 8-hour class is approved by the State of Alaska, and meets the mandatory initial continuing education requirement to start selling Long Term Care Insurance. We'll kick the course off by covering the basics: What long-term care is, who needs it, what it costs, and who pays for it. Then we'll dive into the types of LTC policies that exist, and how to build a policy. You'll learn the variables affecting how these policies are paid out, and what is and isn't covered. Finally, we'll talk about the process of underwriting LTC policies, and which alternatives exist.
