This class is modeled on the Basic Flood Insurance Course Outline published in the Federal Register, and will meet the education requirements to start selling flood insurance. As directed in the 2004 Flood Insurance Reform Act, this course covers the National Flood Insurance Program, as well as the flood zone designations and how to read flood maps. You'll learn about the policies and products available for those who may need flood insurance, and the rules of these policies. We'll cover rating and handling claims, and finally, we'll go over the 2004 Flood Insurance Reform Act, and leave you with some agent resources.
