The continuing education training provided in this eight hour course is focused on important aspects of life and health insurance. The course is split into three segments that will cover insurance in general, life insurance policy provisions, and accident and health insurance.

The part of the course that talks about insurance in general will discuss such topics as fundamental concepts such as risk and loss, the structure of insurers, and the legality of insurance contracts.

The portion on life insurance policy provisions will talk about the life insurance policy and the provisions, options, and riders that can be included in the policy contract.

The final part of the course on accident and health insurance will examine the Medicare program and long-term care insurance.

The segment about Medicare will take a close look at the entire program including who is eligible, what Medicare provides to participants, and options for people who don’t qualify.

The segment on long-term care insurance will cover the primary elements of LTC, how LTC can be marketed, and suitability issues.

The course will be capped off with a 45 question exam that will help with retention and comprehension of the materials in the course.
