This course provides all 24 hours of CE that you need including 12 hours of Classroom Equivalent credits for adjusters! This course will review key concepts and principles of Life, Accident, & Health insurance. It includes 3 hours of ethics and 21 hours of Life and Health continuing education content.
The focus of our 12 hour Classroom Equivalent continuing education course of instruction for insurance adjusters is life, accident, and health insurance.
To begin, the course will examine ethics. This segment will address the concept of ethics and what it means for an insurance professional to operate in an ethical manner.
Then, the course will talk about life insurance products. This segment discusses annuities and qualified retirement plans.
The portion of the course examining annuities addresses how they compare to other life insurance products.
The other portion in this part of the course will look at retirement plans with special attention paid to plans that qualify for special taxation treatment.
The other segment of the course looks at health insurance products, specifically, medical plans, group health insurance, dental insurance, and long-term care insurance.
The medical plans segment will talk about what medical plans do, managed care, major medical insurance, const containment, and the Federal laws that affect medical plans.
The group health insurance segment will discuss how health insurance is provided to organizations and how group coverage differs from individual health coverage.
The unique qualities of dental insurance will be examined in one segment of the course.
The last segment of the course deals with long term care insurance including what it does, how it is provided, how it is marketed, and how it is taxed.
The course incorporates intermittent quizzes for retention and comprehension of the covered topics.
The first portion of our 12 Hour L&H Self Study course looks at life insurance, specifically the fundamentals of life insurance policies. The instruction on life insurance fundamentals will both discuss the core concepts of life insurance and explore the different types of life insurance that are available.
The other portion of the course talks about accidents and health insurance. This segment explores the core elements of life insurance, health insurance contracts, and disability insurance.
The segment on the core elements of life insurance will cover what life insurance is and how it is used. This instruction also talks about the various forms of health insurance coverage.
The training on life insurance contracts will look at the structure of health insurance policies specifically, provisions and options.
A part of the course will examine disability insurance and the specialized coverage it provides.
At the end of the course, you will complete a final exam that will test on topics from throughout the course. The purpose of this exam is to improve comprehension and retention of the training.
