This course is for Experienced Life and Health Producers (those who have been continuously licensed for 25 years or more prior to the start of the biennium reporting period, or those who hold a professional designation), and who do not sell Long Term Care insurance. The student will have a total of 12 hours’ instruction in the required area of ethics (3 hours), and then nine hours of electives as required by the state of Delaware.
The course begins with an ethics portion tailored for insurance producers and starts by defining the need for them in insurance today. We examine the ethical duties to clients, employees, and businesses. As the class progresses the student will receive instruction in the subjects of disability income, qualified plans and producer responsibilities, group health and Long Term Care, and tax issues for life and health producers. Finally we’ll finish with a look at some of the various federal regulations that affect L&H producers and their clients.
During the course, there will in-text questions to quickly review what the students and has learned, which will be followed by a 60 question final quiz at the end of the class.
