The focus of this 3 hour continuing education course for insurance producers is the three new universal topic requirements::
(1) at least 1 hour of Insurance Law instruction;
(2) at least 1 hour of ethics and professionalism instruction;
(3) at least 1 hour of diversity, inclusion, and elimination of bias instruction;
The first lesson details additions, changes, and deletions of New York law related to insurance licensees and the industry in general.The lesson also touches upon common areas of legal trouble.
The next segment is a discussion of ethics and ethical behavior. This segment talks about the concept of ethics but also looks at how ethics apply to insurance producers in the real world. The lesson provides ethical codes, examples of case law, and how to associate ethical behavior in the workplace
The course will conclude on the last required topic: diversity, inclusion, and the elimination of bias. This section looks into current human rights law in New York before discussing bias, embracing diversity, and a general outline on how diversity programs should run.
