This 20-hour course will provide the Washington Personal Lines pre license candidate with current and up-to-date information in order to successfully prepare for the Washington Personal Lines insurance examination. The course covers everything contained in the Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner Candidate Information Bulletin, and is broken down into easily understandable lessons
This updated course includes many illustrations, examples, and quizzes associated with the state test, and provides a well-rounded approach to test preparation. The topics covered in the course begin with General Insurance terms and concepts and is followed with a discussion of the basics of Property and Casualty and Personal Lines insurance. This lesson will introduce the candidate to terms, definitions and concepts that are the foundation of Personal Lines and Property and Casualty insurance. The course continues with material on dwelling and homeowner insurance, and will discuss both the property and casualty portions of the contracts. Personal and commercial automobile insurance is thoroughly explored, with commercial property and liability insurance following. Business Owner policies are detailed, as well as workers’ compensation insurance and other property and casualty policies, including surety, watercraft, recreational vehicles, and other important examination topics. The course contains material on the laws and rules that are mandated in Washington for insurance producers, insurance companies, and others in the insurance business. In the lessons for laws and rules, the course covers insurance regulation in Washington, general insurance concepts, terms and definitions, and material specific to property and casualty laws and rules.
Each lesson will include a practice examination with complete explanations and details to help the student retain information. There is a 100 question final examination designed to mimic the state examination, and must be successfully completed in order to receive credit for the course.
