This is a 9-hour course, comprised of five classes on specific topics, providing professional development for Property and Casualty Producers, as required for license renewal in the state of West Virginia. The course looks primarily at some of the most varied and complex policies that most producers write the policies that cover various kinds of businesses, property management companies, and industry, along with a vital look at the fast-changing, troubled field of flood insurance.
The course begins with an hour-long review of Commercial Automobile policies
The next class takes up about half of the 9-hour course in order to present the varied types of commercial coverages and the considerations that go into each;
An hour-long class on Workers' Compensation provides helpful reminders on premium pricing, claims payments, etc.
This is followed by a class that covers the history of flood insurance, the mechanics of writing policies and paying claims, and the political and environmental shifts that make these policies some of the most rapidly changing and troubled in the U.S. The class is updated regularly to reflect recent events;
The final class covers Renters Insurance; the basic concepts, how to write the policies, what's covered and what isn't and the options available, as well as a look at claims settlements, then shows how Condominium insurance is similar and different from Renters Insurance and how to structure policies accordingly.
